What if we could come together to come alive,
through a Joyous Rebellion?
Some may describe it as soul sickness, in Chinese it’s called “heart tired”,
but we all know the experience…
As modern life continues to hurdle us into an ever speeding and unknown future, we are becoming exponentially disconnected from what it means to be a human.
Our inner knowing, dulled. Our creativity, dimmed.
And yet, we yearn to feel fully alive — to joyously rebel — and to experience something real!
We believe that our point of access is through experiences with others that move us to our core.
Joyous Rebellion is an experiential design studio.
We design intimate, soulful gatherings to reconnect you with yourself and others.
For the overworked and under-joyed
For the seeker who’s currently stuck and going through the motions
For the adventurers seeking confirmation to make the next exciting leap
For those who give to everyone else and have forgotten what they enjoy
come gather with us.
come gather with us.

“I deeply appreciate being held by such skillful, compassionate, and culturally responsive facilitators. Jahan and Boyuan co-created a supportive space in which to engage in a process of collective inquiry while exploring challenging issues without fear of judgment.”

“I loved the set up of the questions at dinner. It struck the perfect tone of prompting new conversations and shares without people feeling like they were forced to share. I also LOVED the questions.”
- Nora R.
“I love what Joyous rebellion represents-- so much that is left in the shadows that isn't talked about and having the space to be open about it and speak about the things we are dealing with in this phase in life is so important -- especially in a community-like setting.”
- Nyla H.
“In a world rife with disconnection and superficial interactions swapped through screens, Joyous Rebellion’s gathering experience was a nourishment for my tired soul. We gathered in a gorgeous space and opened ourselves to facilitated conversation that left enough room to laugh, go deep, ponder questions of substance, and honor one another’s specific forms of beauty. I left feeling reconnected to what is sacred about being human, and with a room of new friends. It was an antidote to the broken world, a space where we modeled, if only for a few hours, the kind of fulfillment life can offer.”
